The Cornish Coat of Arms is 15 gold Bezants in a triangle on a crusaders shield with the motto 'one and all'. It comes from the capture of the Duke of Cornwall by the Saracens whilst on the crusades. The motto 'One and All' reflects the sacrifice made by all the people of Cornwall to raise the ransom.
Since that time this emblem has been used by the Duchy as a coat of arms and is often used as a symbol of Cornwall.
